Central PA Racing Scene Weekend Warrior Point Standings

Hello and Welcome to the first ever posting of the Central PA Racing Scene Weekend Warrior point standings. Now before you go and get all riled up about the name let me explain....

I posted  something a month or so ago about a new type point standing that I was going to keep track of, giving a little credit to all the drivers in Central PA , not just the drivers who run every race and end up winning the Speedway Motors 410 series. Most drivers dont have a shot at winning that because most drivers only run 1 track a weekend. With that in mind, I decided to keep track of the 5 Central PA race tracks, Trail Way and Williams Grove on Friday night. Port Royal, Lincoln, and Selinsgrove on Saturday night, and using the top 10 finishers from these race tracks. 50 points for a win, 35 for 2nd just as the 410 series, with the added bonus of 5 points for heat wins. The kicker is the drivers only get points for their best finish for the weekend. So the Hoddnett's and Dietrich's cant run away with it, and the 358 and 360 drivers who only run once a weekend still have a shot at doing well. This is NOT a 410 series, Its a SPRINT CAR series, a series for every sprint car driver in Central PA.

With all that said here is the standings for the Central PA Racing Scene Weekend Warrior Point Standings.

As you can see 98 different drivers have scored a top 10 or a heat win in Central PA. Remember folks this is all for fun, and just a way for us to see how every driver in Central PA sprint car racing compares to each other on a weekly basis. How does Mark Smith in his 360 compare to Doug Hammaker in his 358 weekly at each of their race tracks. Who knows folks we can use this at the end of the season to crown the 2015 Central PA Racing Scene Driver of the year. Yeah I like the sound of that.....How bout al of you?

Sounds like a pretty cool idea. Its not just the 410 drivers that win a lot or have good seasons. It may open some eyes to (and i hate to use this phrase)less followed drivers and series. Who knows, it could get some people thinking that there may be another racing world out there past the 410s (yeah....wingless dammit)
