HANOVER, PA (5/22/2015) –A four-car battle for the lead behind a lapped car made for another 358 sprint car thriller at Trail-Way Speedway Friday night.
In the end, Hanover’s Isaac Sneeringer padded his points lead by scoring his third win of the year.
“I wanted to driver harder, but there was a big pile there and that was great racing!” exclaimed Sneeringer upon exiting his DCI/Todd Gosnell Paving/McSherrystown Moose #19Z in victory lane, “That was fun!  Our first wedding anniversary is tomorrow, but we’ll be celebrating tonight!”
Sneeringer started sixth and worked his way to the front while rookie David Holbrook led the first 18 laps.  Sneeringer closed in on the leaders as they stacked up behind the lapped car of David Thrush, who was fast enough to stay in front of Holbrook, Seth Kerchner, and Matt Campbell from laps 12 through 18.  Sneeringer slid under Campbell for third on lap 13 and then drove under Kearchner for the runner-up spot on lap 15.  He finally took the lead exiting turn four lap 19, and one lap later, Thrush spun in front of Holbrook, Kearchner, and Campbell in turn two, collecting Campbell.
Campbell went to the rear and came back through over the final five laps to finish seventh.
After the event’s lone caution, Sneeringer drove away to a 2.03-second win, with Holbrook, 12th-starting and hard-charger Brad McClelland, Kearchner, and Zach Euculano completing the top five.
It was Sneeringer’s tenth career Trail-Way win.
Qualifiers for the 13 “358” sprinters on hand were won by Sneeringer and McClelland.
Jim Young started fourth and led every lap to claim his fifth career Trail-Way win in the 20-lap 600cc micro-sprint feature.  Despite leading every lap, Young’s margin of victory was a mere .56 seconds. Tyler Walton, Travis Scott, ninth-starting Jared Esh, and Brad Weber rounded out the top five.
Heats for the 15 micros were won by Jason Sechrist and Young.

Eric Johnson started third and led every lap in claiming his first career Trail-Way win in the 20-lap street stock feature.  Dan Furman, Craig Wagaman, 12th-starting Jeremy Stremmel, and Aaron Beard finished second through fifth.  Johnson’s final margin of victory was 1.94 seconds.
Heats for the 12 street stocks were won by Furman and Stremmel.
Lady driver Sarah Redmond drove to her first win of the season and second career Trail-Way win in the 15-lap limited stock feature.  Redmond started sixth, watched two drivers drop out while leading (Jason Chronister on laps one and two and Robert Nicklow on lap three), and assumed the lead on lap four.  She led the rest of the way, with Cody Klinedinst, ninth-starting Nick McDaniel, 12th-starting Kenny Startzman, and 15th-starting Shannon Weaver crossing second through fifth.
Qualifiers for the 15 limited stocks were won by Robert Wellman and Nicklow.

Next Friday, May 29th, Trail-Way will host the 358 Sprints, Limited Stocks, Central PA Legends and Street Stocks. There will also be kids race car rides! Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with heats beginning at 7:45 p.m.
Friday, June 5th, Trail-Way swings back into action with the 358 Sprints, Limited Stocks, Classic Cars and the Mason Dixon 270cc Micro Sprints in an $800-to-win “Little D’s Bucket List Race.” Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with heating beginning at 7:45 p.m.
The following night, Saturday June 6th, Trail-Way hosts A.M.A. Motorcycle Short Track racing with the “4th Annual Armin Hostetter Classic!” Gates open at 3:00 p.m. and heats begin at 6:00 p.m.
