After sustaining two bouts of rain earlier in the day and with the expectation of moderate to heavy rain lasting through the evening, Port Royal Speedway has cancelled the July 6 racing program.
The decision was made after consulting with the National Weather Service in State College, PA.
According to meteorologists with the weather service, persistent rain and drizzle is expected to last into Friday. Port Royal will return on Saturday, July 8 with the 27th Pennsylvania Speedweek Series for 410 sprints plus the Moon Shine Camo Rt. 35 Late Model Challenge Series, at 7 pm.
