SELINSGROVE POSTPONES #WIDEOPEN2018 OPENER UNTIL APRIL 14

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Selinsgrove Speedway officials announced tonight’s 2018 season opener has been postponed until Saturday, April 14, due to unseasonably cold temperatures. The announcement was made Friday evening as a courtesy to race teams and fans.

The highly-anticipated #WideOpen2018 Opener on April 14 will feature the 360 sprint cars, limited late models, pro stocks, roadrunners and a special visit by the Penn Mar Vintage Race Car Club.

Pit gates will open at 3 p.m. and grandstand gates will open at 4 p.m. with racing at 6 p.m.

The 360 sprint cars will compete in a 25-lap main event paying $2,000 to win and the limited late models will make their first of six scheduled appearances this season at the track in a 20-lap feature paying $1,000 to win and $100 to start. The pro stocks and roadrunners will run 15- and 12-lap races, respectively.

The limited late model specs for the April 14 race are 358 cubic inch engine maximum, 2,350 lb. weight rule, and open tire.

Selinsgrove will present the annual Ray Tilley Classic for 410 sprint cars at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 22, paying $4,088 to win plus pro stocks and roadrunners sponsored by Icon Legacy Custom Modular Homes.

Selinsgrove Raceway Park will be back in action Friday, April 13, with the second full-points go kart race of the season at 7 p.m. Track gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
