Brent Marks anxious to compete in front of home fans during visits to Lincoln and Williams Grove

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

MYERSTOWN, Pa. (May 14, 2018) – With nearly three and a half months of the 2018 World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series schedule complete, Brent Marks and Brent Marks Racing will finally make their first Pennsylvania appearance of the season, reuniting with the notorious Pennsylvania Posse during visits to Lincoln Speedway and Williams Grove Speedway, respectively.

Marks, who will enter the weekend with six top-ten finishes to his credit, will begin his first Central Pennsylvania swing of the year with a stop at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway for the Gettysburg Clash on Wednesday, May 16. The weekend will conclude with the annual Morgan Cup at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday and Saturday, May 18-19. The weekend finale at “The Grove” will award a $12,000 top prize, as well as a $5,000 bonus for claiming the Morgan Cup trophy.

“I think I’m more excited about the fact that I get to sleep in my own bed,” Brent Marks said regarding the upcoming stretch close to home. “Hats off to my team for getting us to this point. To think we are this far down the road already is pretty crazy, especially with only having a two-man team. Jesse is doing a great job. I appreciate his hard work and his sacrifice to be out here with me. We are both really excited about racing in front of our home fans and family. We’ve been waiting for this all season.”

Brent Marks will enter the season’s first Central PA swing fresh off of a pair of starts at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, as well as a Sunday night visit to the Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana. Battling as high as seventh before getting caught up in an on-track tangle, the “Myerstown Missile” highlighted his three-race stretch with a 12th place finish at the Tri-State quarter-mile, moving ahead from the outside of row nine.

“We were definitely a top-ten car,” Marks explained about his Tri-State start on Sunday. “It is what it is. Starting near the back on a small track can be dangerous.”
