The 410 sprints will compete in a 25-lap main paying $4,000 to win out of a total purse worth over $19,000.

The econo late models and four cylinder pure stocks are also on the nostalgic afternoon holiday racing card as part of the historic 164th annual Juniata County Fair.

Admission to the fair is FREE for all of Labor Day.

A demolition derby will be held following the afternoon racing program.

All grandstand admission holders will have access to both the racing program and the demo derby.

In last year’s sprint car Labor Day Classic, a rousing finish saw Danny Dietrich of Gettysburg track down leader Brock Zearfoss coming off of the final turn to steal the lead and win by inches at the finish line.

The victory stunned the crowd in attendance as Zearfoss fumbled his way to the line after looking like a sure winner.

The win was the third Labor Day triumph f Dietrich’s career and his second in a row.

The speedway will return to action on Friday and Saturday, September 7 and 8 with the 51st running of the Tuscarora 50, paying $51,000 to win on Saturday night out of a total sprint car purse worth some $105,000.

Friday’s Night Before The 50 and The Tuscarora 50 itself are sanctioned by the All Stars Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars.
