CLOSING OUT AUGUST: Marks & CJB Grab Strong Finishes at Port Royal Team gearing up for big September with high dollar races near home

ARLISLE, PA. - August 25, 2020 - As summer begins to draw to a close, the CJB Motorsports team has their sights set on some high dollar racing events in September.

The team took on Williams Grove Speedway near Mechanicsburg, Pa. on Friday, August 21st by starting 7th in their heat race. Driver Brent Marks wheeled the #5 machine to a 3rd place finish before an early race accident in the feature regulated him to a 20th place finish.

Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway hosted one full 410 sprint car event on Saturday along with two make up features from rained out shows in early and mid August. Marks finished 3rd in his heat race and went from 12th to 9th in the feature for that event. In the other two events, Marks finished 4th and 7th.

"We had a busy weekend, unfortunately got caught up in a lap one wreck at a Williams Grove," said Marks, pilot of the #5 M&M Painting and Construction, BAPS Paints, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, Alkaline 88 Water, R.E. Pierson Construction Co., Wolfrun Landscapes, Nyce, Crete & Landis Block and Concrete, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Ecynbro Trucking machine. "We had a lot of racing to do at Port and had a good car as usual. Unfortunately, we only had one race that started us at a good spot and the other two, we had to come from behind. The track was very difficult to pass up through there. It just took a lot of laps to set someone up and get runs on guys, but we managed to make the best of it."

Marks and the team plan to be in action with the Ollies Bargin Outlets All Star Circuit of Champions at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, August 28th. The team will also race at Port Royal Speedway on August 29th. Additional events may be added. These events will help get the team tuned up for big money events in September like the Dirt Classic Qualifer and the Tuscarora 50 .

"I'm excited about all the big racing coming up," said Marks. "Like I said we've been fast and have a shot at every single one of those races so that's very exciting."
