BROWNSBURG, Ind. (August 24, 2020) – Donny Schatz’ return home to North Dakota for a World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series doubleheader resulted in a success story, ending the two-day sweep with a pair of top-ten outings, one of which a podium result during action at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks. The ten-time World of Outlaws champion started seventh on the A-Main grid, eventually battling his way forward to become a winning threat. A third-place finish during his respective heat race solidified his A-Main start.

“My guys are doing an incredible job with what we have to work with,” Schatz said at River Cities. “All we can do is keep digging.”

Schatz, driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/DieHard/Advance Professional/Carquest Auto Parts/Technet Professional Automotive Service/Ford Performance/Mobil 1/Sage Fruit/Curb Records/Absolute Automation & Security/Hunt Brothers Pizza/Digital Ally/J&J Auto Racing /No. 15 sprint car, backed-up his podium result with another top-ten finish on Saturday during action at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo.

Although unable to climb through the top half of the field like Friday’s performance at River Cities, Schatz managed to jump from eighth to seventh to secure his 24th top-ten result of the 2020 season.

Tony Stewart and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing will continue their World of Outlaws championship quest with a pair of starts in Missouri and Nebraska during the coming weekend, first visiting US 36 Raceway in Osborn, Missouri, on Saturday, August 29, then invading the I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska, on Sunday August 30. Each event will pay $10,000-to-win.

Donny Schatz will enter the weekend doubleheader third in the WoO championship standings trailing point leader, Logan Schuchart, by 58 markers. The Fargo, North Dakota-native owns three Series victories in 2020, as well as 24 top-tens and 16 top-fives.
