Michael scores another top-ten at Attica; Potential triple ahead

 By Fully Injected Motorsports:

FREMONT, Ohio (August 24, 2020) – The “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael has been hot at Attica Raceway Park in 2020, this time checking off another mark in the top-ten column with a seventh-place outing on Friday night, August 21. Michael, who recently rallied from 20th to finish fifth at Attica on August 7, started from the outside-pole position on Friday night, earning his place on the A-Main grid after winning his respective heat race.

Michael continued his recent weekend with a start in the Hoosier State, joining the All Star Circuit of Champions at Plymouth Speedway in Plymouth, Indiana, on Saturday, August 22. A fifth-place result during heat race competition allowed Michael to start 15th on the feature grid. The Plano, Texas-native climbed three spots during the 35-lapper and finished 12th at the final checkers.

“It was a solid weekend for our team. We learned some things about the car. We did some things that we probably shouldn’t have done on Friday, but we’ll learn from that and move forward,” Michael said, driver of the Michael Motorsports, Advanced Architectural Stone, Crown Battery, Fremont Fence Company, Pro-Tech Services, Wood Heating and Air Conditioning, Kear’s Speed Shop, Wings Unlimited, Big D’s Pizza, No. 8M sprint car. “I can’t thank my team enough for their hard work over the weekend. It’s been a wild year, but we continue to stay focused and I think our results show that. I’m excited to see what this weekend has in store.”

Tentatively, Michael’s upcoming plan stands at three races in three days, first visiting Attica Raceway Park on Friday, August 28, followed by a trip to Wayne County Speedway on Saturday, August 29, all capped with a Sunday night visit to Tri City Raceway Park in Franklin, Pennsylvania, on August 30.

Although the “Texas Traveler” will enter the weekend swinless in 2020, Michael has been close, finishing as high as second during FAST Series action at Wayne County Speedway on June 27.
