Bogucki Captures Fourth-Place Finish During Midwest Fall Brawl

Inside Line Promotions - GREENWOOD, Neb. (Sept. 16, 2020) - Scott Bogucki moved into a tie for fifth place in the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour championship standings thanks to a top-five outing last Saturday during the Casey's General Store Midwest Fall Brawl.

The fourth-place finish was the SawBlade.com sponsored driver's third top five of the season with the series and his seventh overall.

"We should have ran third at a minimum," he said. "They got to racing real good in front and I got to rim riding it. I actually knocked it down hard once with about 10 laps to go. The car wasn't that good after that. I got crazy tight so it was more of a survival. I think if the race stayed green I would have finished third, but we had a caution. After the yellow I got so tight and someone got by us. I was super happy with fourth though."

Bogucki opened the night by advancing from fifth to third place in a heat race. He then maneuvered from fourth to second place in a qualifier to rank fifth in overall points, garnering the fifth starting position for the A Main.

"We were good every time we went on the track," he said. "I'm hoping the same thing happens this weekend."

Bogucki will ride that momentum into the 10th annual Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial this Thursday through Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo. His best performance at the event is a runner-up result in 2018.

"I'm really looking forward to it," he said. "I think we'll be just fine. I've been really good there until last year. I was rubbish every night. I guess it was just one of those weekends. There's 80 drivers there so you have to be on top of your game."
