Brian Brown Invading Lincoln Speedway and Williams Grove Speedway This Week

Inside Line Promotions - PORT ROYAL, Pa. (Sept. 16, 2020) - Brian Brown has a trio of races in Central Pennsylvania on the agenda this week.

Brown, who raced in the Tuscarora 50 last weekend, is heading to Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln on Wednesday and Saturday as well as Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg on Friday.

Sept. 10 - Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pa. - Qualifying: 17; Heat race: 1 (2); Dash: 1 (1); Feature: 23 (2).

"We didn't qualify as well as we wanted, but with the All Star format we started in a good spot in the heat race," Brown said. "We got by Shane (Stewart) to win the heat. We won a dash and felt good going into the A Main. We got a couple of good starts, but the one that went was our worst start. We fell to second and then to third. Midway through the race I tried to make a bigger arc into turn one. It sucked me into the fence and we knocked the right rear tire down. We were lucky we didn't turn over."

Sept. 11 - Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pa. - Qualifying: 7; Heat race: DNF (2); B Main: 3 (2); Feature: 23 (23).

"We were going to be in a good spot to be in the dash on our overall qualifying time and we broke a rear end in the heat race," Brown said. "Stuff like that happens. We haven't broke one of those in six or eight years. Sometimes you have that stuff. We transferred through the B Main, but in the A Main I felt like we weren't fast enough to drive through there. We're planning on being out here for a while so you want to save your equipment for another night on nights like that."

Sept. 12 - Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pa. - Qualifying: 9; Heat race: 3 (3); Feature: 19 (16).

"We qualified a little better, but the format is different," Brown said. "We started third and ran third. Then in the feature we were up to 12 th. We had been so tight other nights so we left our car free. The slicker the track got the worse we got. Overall, we weren't as good there as we had been in the past."

UP NEXT - Wednesday at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pa.; and Friday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa., for the Jack Gunn Memorial and Saturday at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pa., for the Dirt Classic with the Ollie's Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1

"We've been pretty good at Lincoln," Brown said. "We've gone back to our notes so hopefully we'll have a good car. I feel like we should be okay. I wouldn't say they are high expectations, but I have expectations to run good."
