Crouch Hustles From 18th to Sixth During Sprint Car Debut

Inside Line Promotions - PETTY, Texas (Sept. 24, 2020) - Brenham Crouch gained a dozen positions last Saturday when he made his debut behind the wheel of a winged sprint car.

Crouch, who had only participated in one sprint car practice session of approximately eight laps earlier this summer, made the most of his first official race in his family owned car. The team joined the Texas Sprint Series at 82 Speedway, where Crouch maneuvered from seventh to sixth place in a heat race and from eighth to third place in the B Main to advance into the main event.

"There were a bunch of good guys there," he said. "It took a few laps each session to get used to the car. I haven't had many laps in it. I was super pleased with our result."

Crouch capitalized on restarts to help him rally from 18th to sixth.

Crouch will pilot a Toyota Racing backed Keith Kunz Motorsports midget this Friday at Gas City I-69 Speedway in Gas City, Ind., and Saturday at Kokomo Speedway in Kokomo, Ind., with the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget Series. It will be his debut with the series.

Crouch earned his first career POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League heat race victory during his most recent start with the series on Sept. 11 at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Ill. He was scheduled to start eighth in the feature, but the race rained out.
