CARLISLE, PA. - September 9, 2020 - As one of the biggest events of the month is upon them, Brent Marks and the CJB Motorsports team has added a steady flow of momentum that makes them one of the favorites for the 53rd Annual Tuscarora 50.
Marks and the team were in action for four consecutive nights over Labor Day weekend. On Friday, September 4th, the team raced at Williams Grove Speedway near Mechanicsburg, Pa. The team timed in 12th, finished 2nd in their heat race and 2nd in the feature. The following night at Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway saw the team finish 2nd in their heat race before going on to win the feature.
Selinsgove (Pa.) Speedway hosted racing action on Sunday, September 6th. Marks won his heat race that night and finished 4th in the feature. Port Royal hosted racing action again on Labor Day itself (Monday, September 7th.) Marks charged from 8th to 2nd in his heat race and was running well in the feature until tire issues struck with five laps to go, which regulated the team to a 21st place finish.

"We had a great weekend full of speed," said Marks, pilot of the #5 M&M Painting and Construction, BAPS Paints, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, Alkaline 88 Water, R.E. Pierson Construction Co., Wolfrun Landscapes, Nyce, Crete & Landis Block and Concrete, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Ecynbro Trucking machine. "It's a lot of fun to drive this #5."
The 53rd Annual Tuscarora 50 weekend is next on the docket for the CJB Motorsports team. The event, held at Port Royal Speedway, will be sanctioned by the Ollies Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions and feature three nights of racing, beginning on Thursday, September 10th. Marks and the team will be using their knowledge and recent hot streak to try to claim the big check ($53,000 to be exact) on Saturday, September 12.
"We have a good shot to get us the Tuscarora 50 win this weekend," said Marks. "We're one of the best to get around port royal right now and I'll be determined to win that thing! We have 2 races prior to that we have to concentrate on though and I'm looking forward to 3 days of racing.."
