Brock Zearfoss earns back-to-back top-tens against Outlaws during Port Royal’s Nittany Showdown

 By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (October 12, 2020) – Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing represented their Pennsylvania fanbase well during their visit to the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” on October 9-10 and captured back-to-back top-ten performances during the annual Nittany Showdown featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. The former Port Royal Speedway track champion highlighted the weekend blockbuster with a fifth-place performance on Friday, October 9; Zearfoss’ 22nd top-five result of the year and 42nd top-ten. The Jonestown, Pennsylvania-native battled as high as third in the running order before settling for fifth.

Zearfoss, driver of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., BAPS Auto Paints & Supply, Meckley’s Limestone Products, Berkebile Oil Company, Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, X-1 Race Cars, No. 3Z sprint car, kicked-off Friday’s program with a runner-up result during his respective heat race, continuing on with a fourth-place dash result.

Although missing his Friday finish by two positions, the “Jonestown Jet” was able to cap his Port Royal appearance with a seventh-place outcome during the Nittany Showdown’s $15,000-to-win finale, bumping ahead three spots after starting tenth on the grid.

“It feels good to put together a pair of solid finishes with the World of Outlaws,” Brock Zearfoss said, a two-time feature winner in 2020. “We’ve been racing around Port Royal for a long time, so we went back to the notebook and found some things that were able to put us in a solid position all weekend. I can’t thank my team enough for all of their hard work. I know I say this a lot, and I’m sure everyone else does, too, but I have the hardest working team in the pit area. We’ve been through a lot this year and they keep hanging tough. I’m excited for what’s ahead.”

At this time, Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will conclude their 2020 season with the World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte on November 5-7. Any updates pertaining to this event will be posted in the near future. The annual season-ending showcase will feature two, full programs, one on Friday and one on Saturday, with qualifying time trials to kick-off all action on Thursday.
