Mechanical trouble deflates Zearfoss’ top-ten potential in National Open; Port Royal doubleheader on deck

 By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (October 5, 2020) – Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing set themselves up for success on Saturday evening during Williams Grove Speedway’s annual National Open finale, but a mechanical hiccup with less than five laps recorded cut loose all of Zearfoss’ hard-earned potential; he retired on lap four after starting ninth.

The Jonestown, Pennsylvania-native earned a spot in the 40-lap, $75,000-to-win World of Outlaws program by way of third place performance during his respective heat race. There were over 50 cars in attendance for the year’s richest sprint car event.

“We were pretty excited about our potential, but those things happen. All we can do is put it all behind us and move forward,” Brock Zearfoss said, driver of the Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., BAPS Auto Paints & Supply, Meckley’s Limestone Products, Berkebile Oil Company, Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, X-1 Race Cars, No. 3Z sprint car. “We get to try again against the Outlaws this Friday and Saturday. My team and I will be ready. They work hard and never make excuses. I’m lucky to be working around such a dedicated group of people.”

Brock and Brock Zearfoss Racing will continue their 2020 campaign with another day-two stint against the Greatest Show On Dirt, this time visiting the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” on Friday and Saturday, October 9-10. The former Port Royal Speedway champion will chase a total winner’s share equaling $23,000; $8,000 on Friday and $15,000 on Saturday.

Zearfoss is a former winner against the traveling Outlaws and owns two top-five finishes with the Series in 2020.
