Michael 12th with All Stars during Ford Classic opener at Fremont

 By Fully Injected Motorsports:

FREMONT, Ohio (October 12, 2020) – An event circled on his calendar since its announcement, the “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael spent the recent weekend competing in the two-day Jim and Joanne Ford Classic at Fremont Speedway, joining Tony Stewart’s All Star Circuit of Champions for their final program of the 2020 season. Certainly no stranger to action with “America’s Series,” Michael highlighted his weekend at “The Track That Action Built” with a 12th-place finish on Friday, October 9, solidifying his spot in the 35-lap preliminary with a third-place outcome during his respective heat race.

Despite a solid start to their weekend, T.J. Michael and Michael Motorsports missed main event competition during the $10,000-to-win Ford Classic finale on Saturday, October 10. Buried in the B-Main, a stout field and tricky track conditions made it too difficult to recover; Michael finished 12th.

With his race team headquartered in Fremont, Ohio, the Plano, Texas-native has been an active participant with the traveling All Stars, underlined with a top-ten during Attica Ambush action over Labor Day weekend.

“We’re getting more and more comfortable at Fremont and that makes my job a lot easier. We didn’t have the results we were looking for on Saturday, but we won’t let that take away our finish on Friday,” Michael said, driver of the Michael Motorsports, Advanced Architectural Stone, Crown Battery, Fremont Fence Company, Pro-Tech Services, Wood Heating and Air Conditioning, Kear’s Speed Shop, Wings Unlimited, Big D’s Pizza, No. 8M sprint car. “I’m not sure what we have planned ahead. We may head to Kokomo in two weeks but only time will tell. Regardless, it was a fun year and we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished.”

The “Texas Traveler” will continue, and possibly conclude, his 2020 season with a visit to Kokomo Speedway in Kokomo, Indiana, on Saturday, October 24. Michael will join the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series during his visit to the Hoosier State, working hard to extend his stat sheet and accomplish a top-ten with the Greatest Show On Dirt.
