ST. HELENA, Calif. (April 26, 2021) – For the first time in 2021, Rico Abreu and Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing rolled out a second car, and what a debut it was, surprising Wooster, Ohio-native and National Sprint Car Hall of Famer, Jac Haudenschild, with the revival of his iconic No. 22, which, at the time of its original debut nearly 30 years prior, was owned by the late Jack Elden.

Officially launching Haudenschild’s Farewell Tour – celebrating his final year behind the wheel of a sprint car – the “Wild Child” strapped into the ever-popular No. 22 for Bristol Motor Speedway’s Throwdown during the recent weekend, joining the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series for a $35,000 potential.

Rico Abreu, aboard his Rowdy Energy/Curb Records/Lucas Oil Products/Self Made/Wiser Agency/No. 24 sprint car, joined Haudenschild during the World of Outlaws invasion of the Last Great Colosseum, and although the duo missed the top-ten during each night of Bristol’s dirt blockbuster, race fans and sprint car enthusiasts from around the globe were finally reacquainted with one of the sport’s most well-known and iconic rides.

“It was a special weekend for everyone,” Rico Abreu said. “Jac had no idea this was all happening. It was tough to keep things a secret because we were all so excited to show him, but it all worked out. I wish the weekend would have gone a little bit better for each of us, but we’ll get back to where we need to be soon. We had some solid runs with the All Stars last weekend, but we couldn’t quite get the momentum to shift over to Bristol. This week is a new week and we’re going to do whatever we have to do to get back up front.”

Rico Abreu and Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing will continue their 2021 campaign with a World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series tripleheader on April 29-May 1. The Greatest Show On Dirt will visit Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Illinois, on Thursday, followed by two straight nights at I-70 Motorsports Park in Odessa, Missouri, on Friday and Saturday.

Jac Haudenschild will return to his iconic No. 22 during #LetsRaceTwo action at Eldora Speedway on Friday and Saturday, May 7-8.
