More Money on the Line at Thursday Night's Bald Hill Bash at BAPS Motor Speedway

YORK HAVEN, Pa: Next week’s Thursday Night event at BAPS Motor Speedway got a shot in the arm thanks to local businesses.

Willie’s Paving and JRS Paving have kicked in $5,000 to the 410 Sprint Car purse in what is being dubbed the Bald Hill Bash, which is a reference to the rolling hills around the York Haven facility.

The June 3 Bald Hill Bash will pay $5,000 to the winner of the 30-Lap main event and $600 to start. Super Sportsman will also be on the program, which can be seen on SprintCarUnlimited.TV for those who don’t attend the event.

“A big thanks goes out to the guys at Willie’s and JRS Paving,” said BAPS Motor Speedway General Manager Kolten Gouse. “We were looking for a way to make this event bigger and better, and those went above and beyond.

“With the added money, we can build up the winner’s share while also putting together a pretty good payday for the teams who work hard to make the feature.”

The Willie’s Paving and JRS Paving Bald Hill Bash will also feature a $250 bonus to the highest driver using a 358/360 motor. Drivers who fail to qualify for the main event will receive $150, courtesy of SprintCarUnlimited.TV.

Time trials will be held during hot laps, with drivers qualifying against competitors in their heat race. Racing begins at 7 p.m.

General admission for adults is $25. Seniors general admission is $20, with student tickets costing $16. Children under-12 are free. Pit passes are $35.
