World of Outlaws Dirt Late Models Set to Invade Port Royal Speedway for Weekend Doubleheader

PORT ROYAL, PA- After a week away from racing, Port Royal Speedway returns to action this Friday and Saturday for a huge doubleheader featuring the Morton Buildings World of Outlaws Late Model Series. 

The World of Outlaws Late Model series is billed as the nation’s premier traveling tour for dirt Late Model stock cars and they will be joined on both nights by the River Valley Builders Super Late Model drivers that frequent the Port Royal Speedway regularly. Along with several other invaders who make the tow to the Juniata County oval, all drivers will be in search of a piece of the nearly $113,000 purse on the line across two days for drivers in attendance. 

This will be the series' first visit to the Speed Palace since 2019. 

Friday night’s Huey Wilcoxon Memorial will pay $10,000 to win and drivers will make $1000 to take the green flag. Also on the card will be the Selinsgrove Ford Limited Late Models taking part in the Limited Late Model Billy Vacek Memorial presented by JDS Racing and they will all be vying for the raised $1500 to win prize. The always exciting wingless super sportsman will round out the three-division show that is guaranteed to be an exciting one across the board. 

Saturday’s Billy Vacek Memorial weekend finale will pay $15000 to win and again drivers will earn $1000 to take the green flag. Joining in on the fun will be the Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Cars vying for an increased $5000 to win. 

Both nights will offer several awards such as a $1000 Fast Time Award courtesy of Issiah Wisehaupt and Lauver’s Concessions and a $100 bonus courtesy of Mark Viener from George’s Used Cars for the highest finishing Port Royal Speedway regular. 

Racing begins at 7pm on both nights and gates will open at 4pm on both nights. 

Brandon Sheppard enters the weekend as the series points leader and he holds a reachable 60- point advantage over Chris Madden. Pennsylvania native Kyle Strickler (-120), Tyler Bruening (-146) and Rickey Weiss (-156) fill out the rest of the top-five. 

Meanwhile in River Valley Builders Super Late Model points, Delaware native Ross Robinson holds a 5-point advantage over Dylan Yoder, with Gary Stuhler (-65), Tyler Bare (-130) and Colton Flinner (-165) completing the top-five. 

Past winners of the event are Mason Zeigler (2019), Mike Marlar (2018), Sheppard (2017), Darrell Lanigan (2007 and Clint Smith (2008). 

In Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Car competition, this will be the series final race before the FloRacing All Star Circuit of Champions invade the Speedway next week for the huge doubleheader Bob Weikert Memorial. 

Anthony Macri most recently scored the victory at the track in the division and he enters the weekend trailing points leader, Logan Wagner, by 60 points in the standings. Dylan Cisney (-125), Jeff Halligan (-220) and Mike Wagner (-220) make up the top-five. 

Devin Hart enters the Limited Late Model tilt as the points leader by 90 markers over Shawn Shoemaker. Andrew Yoder (-95), Derick Garman (-100) and Todd Snook (-195) complete the top-five.
