CHICORA, Pa. (September 20, 2021) – Lernerville Speedway’s regular season championship came to a halt on Friday, September 17, and Chicora, Pennsylvania’s George Hobaugh joined in the on the action, eventually capping his evening in Sarver, Pennsylvania, with another top-five score, this time finishing fifth after starting on the outside of row two. A third-place finish during his respective heat race set the tone for his eventual top-five.
Hobaugh, driver of the Hobaugh Motorsports, Krill Recycling, Laskowski Plumbing, Ridgeview Security, Hobaugh’s Auto Parts, Colliers Custom Kitchen and Bath, No. 40 sprint car, has had his fair share of success during the last half of Lernerville’s schedule including three-straight top-tens between August 20 and September 3. Included among those results was a seventh-place score in Lernerville’s $4,000-to-win Spectacular.
“You never want to go backwards, but to hang on for a top-five is never a bad thing. It kinda gives us a solid piece of mind for when the Outlaws come on Saturday,” Hobaugh said, who found most of his season successes during starts at Sharon Speedway. “The Outlaws are tough, but we’ll give them everything we got and hopefully put on a show for all of our great partners, friends, and fans.”
George Hobaugh and Hobaugh Motorsports plan to continue their 2021 campaign with Lernerville Speedway’s Commonwealth Clash, featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, on Saturday, September 25. The event, Lernerville’s second and final Outlaws program of the 2021 season, will award a $10,000 top prize.
George Hobaugh and Hobaugh Motorsports would like to thank all of their marketing partners including: Krill Recycling, Laskowski Plumbing, Ridgeview Security, Hobaugh’s Auto Parts, Colliers Custom Kitchen and Bath.
