FloRacing All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 reveals 2022 Schedule and Points Fund – Champion to earn $80,000

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (November 18, 2021) - The 2022 FloRacing All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 season is set to get under way in less than three months, kicking off what is set to be another highly competitive and action-packed campaign for the country’s original touring winged sprint car series. Additionally, the All Stars will upgrade its year end points to a record setting $345,000, representing an increase of nearly 35% from 2021.

A now historical high for the Series, the 2022 All Star championship team will be awarded with an $80,000 first place prize, a $15,000 bump from 2021. The 2022 championship runner-up will be awarded with a $60,000 check, followed by a $50,000 sum for third, $40,000 for fourth, and $30,000 for fifth. Sixth through 12th in the standings will be awarded $20,000, $15,000, $12,000, $11,000, $10,000, $9,000, and $8,000, respectively. In total, the 2022 championship points fund for the top 12 finishers totals $345,000.

“We’re really excited to get the schedule released so that our teams and fans can begin making their 2022 plans. To be able to expand the points fund next year is something that I am absolutely thrilled about,” said Tony Stewart, owner of the All Stars. “We wouldn’t be able to do this without the extended support from our tracks and partners. I want to thank Mark Floreani and his team at FloRacing, Mobil 1, Kevin Rudeen, as well as our other great partners, track promoters and owners. It is humbling to see the continued interest from tracks that continue to grow our events, and partners that want to utilize our platform to promote their brands. This growth can be attributed to the team owners and drivers that support our series; we wouldn’t be in this position without them all.”

Highlighted with 56 dates across 11 states, the 2022 All Star agenda boasts a stout lineup of high profile events with all the Series’ major blockbusters making their return. The list includes Attica Raceway Park’s points commencing Spring Nationals, Port Royal Speedway’s $29,000-to-win Bob Weikert Memorial and $55,000-to-win Tuscarora 50, Lincoln Speedway’s $20,000-to-win Dirt Classic, the highly touted $26,000 to win Rayce Rudeen Foundation Race, which moves to I-70 Motorsports Park, an annual visit to the sprint car capital of the world, Knoxville Raceway, and Ohio Sprint Speedweek capped with Portsmouth Raceway Park’s Dean Knittel Memorial awarding $20,554.

The Beach Brawl at Lake Ozark Speedway, awarding a total weekend winner’s share of $18,000, will also make its return to the All Star agenda, as well as the $10,000-to-win Keith Kauffman Classic at the Port Royal Speedway, the $10,000-to-win Night Before the Tuscarora 50, Williams Grove Speedway’s $10,000-to-win Memorial Day weekend event, and the season-ending Jim and Joanne Ford Classic at Fremont Speedway, padded by a $10,000-to-win finale.

New dates on the 2022 All Star campaign trail include Sharon Speedway’s Sharon Nationals, an $18,000 to win weekend which is set to make its return on Friday and Saturday, September 2-3, a pair of $12,000-to-win visits to Ransomville Speedway in Ransomville, New York, and Bridgeport Speedway in Swedesboro, New Jersey, and Atomic Speedway’s George Fisher Memorial / Freedom 40 awarding $15,000-to-win.

The All Stars will return to central upstate New York for the first time since 2019 and visit Outlaw Speedway, Utica-Rome Speedway, and Weedsport Speedway August 18-20 to challenge for $8,000, $10,000, and $8,000-to-win purses, respectively.

The Series will make its first and second ever starts at Bloomsburg Fair Raceway in April and August. The facility is promoted by Port Royal promoter, Steve O’Neal.

“Fans will continue to see all of our staple events in 2022,” commented Stewart. “It’s also important to continue to evaluate new opportunities and expand to new markets or re-visit tracks that we don’t necessarily get to race at every year. Ninety percent of the schedule is done by the end of October; it is a collaborative effort to get the remaining ten percent done. Much appreciation goes out to our track partners for working with us on the scheduling efforts for 2022.”

As tradition has it, Series competition will begin in early February with a short stint of non-points action, kicking things off with a two-day visit to Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia, on Friday and Saturday, February 4-5. A first-ever visit to the central Georgia venue, the weekend pair will award $8,000 and $10,000, respectively.

Following its visit to The Peach State, All Star action will continue with a pair of DIRTcar Nationals appearances at Volusia Speedway Park on February 8-9, followed by another pair of Florida stops at East Bay Raceway Park on February 14-15. All four visits to Volusia and East Bay will award $6,000 top prizes.

Commencing the 2021 All Star Circuit of Champions points battle, the April calendar will ignite with Attica Raceway Park’s Core & Main Spring Nationals on Friday and Saturday, April 8-9, followed by a Central Pennsylvania four-pack on Thursday through Sunday, April 21-24. The weekend will consist of appearances at Bloomsburg Fair Raceway, Williams Grove Speedway, Port Royal Speedway, and Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway on Thursday through Sunday, respectively. The April slate will conclude with an Ohio double at Sharon Speedway and Waynesfield Raceway Park on April 30 and May 1.

The month of May will continue with a Michigan and Illinois takeover of I-96 Speedway and Dirt Oval at Route 66 on Friday and Saturday, May 13-14, flanked by a Wisconsin triple-header on Friday through Sunday, May 20-22. Once again battling head-to-head with the IRA Outlaw Sprint Series, the All Stars’ Badger State brawl will feature stops at Wilmot Raceway, Plymouth Dirt Track, and Angell Park Speedway in consecutive fashion. The Mace Thomas Classic at I-96 Speedway will once again award an $8,500 top prize and the Dirt Oval at Route 66 will reward the winner with $8,000.

May will conclude with another power weekend through Pennsylvania Posse Country, this time headlined by the two-day Bob Weikert Memorial at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday and Sunday, May 28-29. Bumping the total weekend winner’s share to $49,000, the three-race Pennsylvania invasion will begin one night prior, as Williams Grove Speedway is set to host the precursor on Friday, May 27.

Featuring ten confirmed dates including nine consecutive, June’s slate is all but lax, igniting the month with Atomic Speedway’s $15,000-to-win George Fisher Memorial on Saturday, June 4, then setting aim on another installment of Ohio Sprint Speedweek.

The Bert & Bridgette Emick Classic at Attica Raceway Park on Friday, June 10, will kick off the nine-race Ohio Sprint Speedweek schedule and will continue with visits to Fremont Speedway on Saturday and Sunday, June 11-12, Wayne County Speedway on Monday, June 13, Sharon Speedway on Tuesday, June 14, Atomic Speedway on Wednesday, June 15, Waynesfield Raceway Park on Thursday, June 16, Limaland Motorsports Park on Friday, June 17, before concluding with the Dean Knittel Memorial at Portsmouth Raceway Park on Saturday, June 18.

Despite kicking off the month with a New York doubleheader at Ransomville Speedway and Stateline Speedway, July will swing wide and west, ultimately hitting high gear with visits to Missouri and Iowa in the form of Lake Ozark Speedway, I-70 Motorsports Park, and Knoxville Raceway.

After a two week break, the All Star Circuit of Champions will begin its August campaign with a three-race sweep through central New York, visiting Outlaw Speedway, Utica-Rome Speedway, and Weedsport Speedway on August 19-21. Just three days later, the Series will be back in action with a return visit to Bloomsburg Fair Raceway, followed by trips to Bridgeport Speedway, Williams Grove Speedway, and the first of two events at Lincoln Speedway.

Known on the track calendar as the Jack Gunn Memorial, the August visit to Williams Grove will once again feature twin features awarding $4,000 each and the Kramer Klash at Lincoln Speedway will again award $7,300 to the winner.

The All Stars’ September slate features four events awarding at least $10,000: the Sharon Nationals finale on September 3 awarding $12,000, Port Royal’s Night Before the Tuscarora 50 on September 9 awarding $10,000, the 55th annual Tuscarora 50 on September 10 awarding $55,000, and the Lincoln Speedway Dirt Classic on September 17 awarding $20,000. The September list also includes Eldora Speedway’s 4-Crown Nationals, which will once again feature All Star competition alongside all three national divisions of USAC.

The 2022 All Star Circuit of Champions season will end on Friday and Saturday, October 7-8, with the two-day Jim & Joanne Ford Classic at Fremont Speedway; the weekend finale will pay a $10,000 top prize.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: James McFadden Transitioning to Roth Motorsports in 2022 Crew Members Justin Adams, Rob Beattie & Gary Patellaro Move to #83 with J-Mac

CONCORD, NC - November 22, 2021 - After a highly-successful rookie season, James McFadden has announced he's coming back for more.

The Alice Springs, NT, AUS native will transition from the Kasey Kahne Racing #9 and drive the Roth Motorsports #83 full-time with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series in 2022.

This announcement comes following a stellar 2021 season for J-Mac, who produced two wins, earned Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award honors, and finished seventh in the championship standings albeit missing the first six races.

“After having experienced my rookie season on the World of Outlaws tour, I’m excited to have another shot at it,” James McFadden told Petersen Media. “Running the World of Outlaws is a dream come true, and to have the opportunity to run for Dennis and Teresa Roth and their Roth Motorsports team at this level is a privilege. Roth has a rich history with the World of Outlaws, and the Roth family has given so much to the sport over the years. I am thankful that they believe in me and have presented this opportunity."

It will be a rather similar setting for the five-time World Series Sprint Car champion as he brings veteran crew chief Justin Adams and crew members Rob Beattie and Gary "Woodman Patellaro along with him to the #83. The entire foursome worked together this season and in the past on the KKR #9.

"I'm so happy to have a bit of familiarity right away as Crew Chief Justin Adams is also making the jump with me," McFadden continued. "We have built up a great dynamic over the last three years and consistency is huge in being successful as a team, so I am excited and ready to rip."

It's not only another chance at the ultimate title, but it's a chance to drive for one of the most storied teams in the history of Sprint Car racing.

McFadden will try to become the 15th driver to win a World of Outlaws race for Roth, attempting to join the likes of Lasoski, Saldana, Shaffer, Swindell, Kinser, Kaeding, Haudenschild, Stewart, McMahan, Gravel, Hirst, Eliason, Pittman, and Reutzel.

"First and foremost, our entire organization wants to thank Kasey Kahne for everything he did for our team from August on,” Dennis Roth said in the Petersen Media release. “He did a nice job for us, and we greatly appreciate him finishing our season out. We would also like to thank Grant, Tony, and Gage for all of their hard work and dedication to our organization as well. Looking forward, we are all really excited to welcome a very talented driver in James McFadden aboard. James has been very successful over the course of his career in his native Australia and has really made a name for himself in the United States over the last few seasons. James and Justin Adams are proven winners, and we look forward to seeing them have a great year for us.”

The motto of 2022 is simple: unfinished business. Crew Chief Justin Adams believes they can accomplish their goals with this move.

“Getting back to Roth Motorsports after a successful 2021 season, I feel like I have some unfinished business and look forward to handling that with James McFadden this season,” Adams told Petersen Media. “I am looking forward to working with Dennis Roth again and am really thankful he has provided a great opportunity to continue to expand on what James and I have built the last few seasons together. I feel like we really started to hit on some things at the end of the season, and I am excited to get back to work and represent the famed Roth Motorsports No. 83.”

The new pairing of James McFadden and Roth Motorsports will have to wait until the 2022 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car season rolls around to hit the track.

Up first is the 51st edition of the DIRTcar Nationals at Florida's Volusia Speedway Park on February 10-12. Fans can BUY TICKETS HERE or watch LIVE on DIRTVision.

BRENT MARKS SCORES SEASON-ENDING SPRINT SHOWDOWN WIN AT BAPS

YORK HAVEN, PA - As good as the 2021 season has been, Brent Marks had more to accomplish Saturday night at BAPS Motor Speedway.

It wasn’t just about being competitive and having a respectable run. Marks wanted to add to his win total and take that confidence into the offseason.

Marks didn’t let up at chilly BAPS Motor Speedway Saturday night. The Myerstown, Pa., capped off a 14-win season by collecting top honors in an entertaining Capitol Renegade Sprint Showdown presented by FK Rod Ends.

“It’s been an awesome year, and I wish it wasn’t over,” Marks said after the $5,000 victory. “But it is, so we will just continue to build this program with what we have going on right now. We all have the same goals and will keep working toward those goals.

“I’m just really excited to get some things reset a little bit and build some depth in this race team over the Winter and get back after it next year. Getting 14 wins and winning three out of the last four has been awesome.”

Marks started on the pole, but this was no easy march. Not with Danny Dietrich, winner of the last two Sprint Car events at the York Haven, Pa., facility, lining up fourth on the grid.

The start went as expected. The Murray-Marks Motorsports machine jumped out front, with Dietrich getting past Devon Borden and shooting under Justin Peck to take over the second spot by the time he hit the stripe to complete Lap 1.

For the next 18 laps, the top two were in close quarters. Dietrich stalked Marks, showing his nose in the third and fourth corner. By the time the front two hit lapped traffic, the Gettysburg driver was only two car-lengths off the pace on Lap 7.

Dietrich made his move two laps. He pulled a slider through the first corner, but Marks ducked back under coming off of Turn 2 to maintain the lead. Dietrich didn’t go away and remained three car-lengths off the pace on Lap 15.

“The track has been phenomenal,” Dietrich said. “Even if we were running 10th, it’s been a lot of fun. It has a lot of different lanes, and you can run all over. I feel like we put on a really good show for the fans.

“We were just biding our time and hoping we could end up out front. It wasn’t time to flex the muscles yet, even though you don’t want to give Brent the lead. You don’t want to push the issue too soon. To me, we had the fastest car, hands down, and we just didn’t get the win. It summarizes our season.”

It wasn’t for a lack of effort. Marks went to the bottom to get around lapped cars, which allowed Dietrich to buzz around the top of Turns 1 and 2 to grab the lead on the 17th circuit.

But Marks didn’t go away. He stayed close over the next lap and nailed the bottom off of Turn 4 to lead Dietrich back to the line by .054 seconds on Lap 18.

Before Dietrich could make another bid for the lead, Brie Hershey spun in Turn 3. Marks chose the outside for the double-file restart and was able to duck under a Dietrich slider in Turns 1 and 2 when the race went back to green.

“That was a lot of fun,” Marks said. “I kept seeing his nose, but I was still trying to be as patient as I could, because I was just trying to drive smart. I made a mistake in one and two going to the bottom and let him get around me. After that, I stepped it up a little bit and got back by him.

“I was having a lot of fun getting through traffic, and I wish we wouldn’t have seen that yellow. I’m not sure if the yellow helped me, because he was right there. I knew he was on my bumper, and I had to keep opening up the corner and letting him slide me. If I would’ve went for the block, he probably would’ve turned under me.”

Dietrich slipped back a little bit, but there was still plenty of action. Logan Schuchart, Justin Peck, and Freddie Rahmer waged a fierce battle for third, with the World of Outlaws regular getting the advantage on Lap 20.

Schuchart got away from Peck, who had to deal with Rahmer for fourth. Rahmer took the position on Lap 24 and started to make a run at Schuchart.

Meanwhile, Marks was pulling away. He opened up a 1.395-second lead with five to go and went unchallenged the rest of the way to claim the victory by 2.997 seconds at the finish.

Dietrich was left with more disappointment after a season that could've featured more trips to Victory Lane. After the Lap 19 restart, he broke a wing cylinder, which made his car difficult to handle and forced him to settle for second.

Schuchart challenged for second but ran third. Rahmer came home fourth, with Peck completing the top five in the main event.

In the 30-Lap 358 Modified main event, Mike Gular started sixth and took advantage of Billy Pauch Jr.’s misfortune to take over the lead and the eventual win.

Frank Cozze started on the outside pole and took command from Pauch on the first circuit. He led the first nine circuits before Pauch made a pass coming out of the fourth corner to lead Lap 10.

Unfortunately for Pauch, he rolled to a stop during a Lap 11 caution period. The New Jersey driver was able to get his car restarted, but he stopped again before making the decision to go back to the pit area.

Cozze was back out front on the 11th circuit, but it was short-lived. Gular made the winning pass on Lap 12 and went unchallenged the rest of the way to take the $5,000 victory.

Cozze and 10th-place starter Frank Cozze completed the podium. Cale Ross and 11th-place starter Dominick Buffalino rounded out the top five.

Dylan Schantz and Roy Denike won the pair of $1,000 to win Enduro features.

Madsen steers TSR to podium, top-ten in World of Outlaws World Finals

Dates: Thursday through Saturday, November 4th-6th
Event: World of Outlaws World Finals
Series: World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series
Track: The Dirt Track at Charlotte (Charlotte, North Carolina)
Kerry Madsen A-Main Finishes (Start):
Friday: 2nd (5th)
Saturday: 6th (13th)

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (November 8, 2021) – The “Madman” Kerry Madsen certainly lived up to his persona during the recent weekend, capping the World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte with a pair of top-ten finishes, highlighting the three-day turned two-day affair with a podium performance on Friday, November 5.

Exciting, to say the least, Madsen’s podium was not a guaranteed outcome until the closing circuits, as the St Marys, New South Wales, Australia-native battled by Brent Marks for fourth with eight laps remaining, claiming third from Carson Macedo with two laps remaining, then sliding by “Blackjack” Brian Brown for second in the final corner.

“I can’t say enough about this Tony Stewart Racing car,” Kerry Madsen said. “It’s been an absolute dream to drive this year and I couldn’t be happier. I think we were in a position to win a few more races, but we’ll move forward and see what the future brings.”

Although unable to match his podium outcome, Madsen’s final night in the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Rush Truck Centers/Advance Auto Parts/Curb Records/Ford Performance/Digital Ally/Sage Fruit/FloRacing/Absolute Automation and Security/Hunt Brothers Pizza/Mobil 1/Carquest Auto Parts/TicketSmarter/J&J Auto Racing/No. 14 sprint car did result in a top-ten finish, this time climbing from 13th to finish sixth. A fourth-place score during heat race competition secured Madsen’s position on the feature grid.

A “super sub” in his own right, Madsen powered Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing to a trio of $10,000 World of Outlaws victories in 2021, two of which occurring during Jackson Nationals preliminary competition at Jackson Motorplex on June 24-25. Madsen’s third World of Outlaws victory occurred during Port Royal Speedway’s Nittany Showdown on Friday, October 8.

Donny Schatz rallies 22 positions in World of Outlaws finale

Dates: Thursday through Saturday, November 4th-6th
Event: World of Outlaws World Finals
Series: World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series
Track: The Dirt Track at Charlotte (Charlotte, North Carolina)
Donny Schatz A-Main Finishes (Start):
Friday: 5th (11th)
Saturday: 3rd (25th)

2021 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Championship Standings: FINAL | Fourth | 10,458 points (two points behind Carson Macedo for third)

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (November 8, 2021) – If one thing is for certain, you can never count out Donny Schatz, no matter the circumstance.

The ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion certainly lived up to that expression during the recent weekend, capping the 2021 World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte with two, big charges including a 22-spot rally on Saturday, November 6.

Forced to utilize a Series provisional, Schatz started 25th on Saturday’s A-Main grid and put on a clinic, climbing through most of the field before finishing third behind Brock Zearfoss and eventual winner, Brent Marks. It was the bottom groove that served as Schatz’ battleground, nearly making the pass for second before settling for the final spot on the podium. In addition, Schatz was awarded the evening’s Hard Charger Award.

“That’s what is expected of me,” Schatz said, driver of the Carquest Auto Parts/Curb Records/Ford Performance/Sage Fruit/Digital Ally/Advance Auto Parts/Rush Truck Centers/Absolute Automation and Security/Hunt Brothers Pizza/TicketSmarter/J&J Auto Racing/No. 15 sprint car . “We found ourselves in every bad position and we just didn’t change enough stuff. We finally did and we changed everything except the seat, steering wheel, and driver. I’m glad we got a respectable finish to end the year.”

One night prior, Schatz performed a near-similar feat, ending the first World Finals main event with a stout run from 11th to finish fifth. Like Saturday, Schatz’ preferred groove was the bottom, forced to battle with Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing teammate, Kerry Madsen, along the way.

When the weekend dust settled, Schatz found himself fourth in the final World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series driver standings, a mere-two points shy of third. Three victories padded Schatz’ battle in the standings, earning wins at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway, Red River Valley Speedway, and I-80 Speedway. Impressive enough, Schatz concluded the year with 62 top-ten finishes in 77 World of Outlaws feature starts, 47 of which within the top five.

Rico Abreu runner-up in Stockton’s Tribute to Gary Patterson

Date: Saturday, November 6th
Event: Tribute to Gary Patterson
Series: NARC-King of the West Sprint Cars
Track: Stockton Dirt Track (Stockton, California)
Rico Abreu A-Main Finish (Start): 2nd (8th)

ST. HELENA, Calif. (November 8, 2021) – Rico Abreu and Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing did their best to cap the 2021 season with a victory, but just as it ended in 2020, Abreu was forced to settle for one spot short of the ultimate prize, finishing second in the NARC-King of the West Tribute to Gary Patterson at Stockton Dirt Track on Saturday, November 6.

A man on a mission, Abreu, driver of the Rowdy Energy/Curb Records/Lucas Oil Products/Self Made Racing/Stadelhofer Construction/Salty’s BBQ/XYZ Machining/Wiser Agency/No. 24 sprint car, was on a roll early in Stockton’s Patterson Tribute, powering ahead from eighth to second before the midpoint of the 30-lapper. A caution with 19 remaining is what allowed Abreu to claim the second spot, utilizing the restart to power by Hanford, California’s DJ Netto.

From that point forward, Abreu did his best to track down race leader Corey Day, but even as traffic intensified in the closing laps, Day proved to be too good.

“Restarts is really where I kind of excelled on picking guys off,” Abreu said. “My car was a little bit free, and the cushion had some whoops and ruts that really upset my car. The race went on and I started searching and didn’t want to be the guy last in line when it laid rubber.

“Hats off to my team…they are the real reason we are up here on the podium,” Abreu continued. “I’m proud of everyone involved with this Rowdy Energy car. We’ll come back stronger than ever next year…I’m already excited to get started.”

Updates pertaining to Rico Abreu’s 2022 plans will be posted in the coming weeks. For the time being, fans should keep alert online, as well as on social media, for details pertaining to Rico Abreu and Rico Abreu Racing merchandise.

Brock Zearfoss completes World of Outlaws season with podium at The Dirt Track at Charlotte

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (November 8, 2021) – The “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss certainly saved his best performance for last, as the 2021 World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year contender capped his first-ever season as a Series full-timer with a podium performance in the season-ending World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina. The former Port Royal Speedway track champion finished second in his final Outlaws start, advancing three spots from fifth on the A-Main grid.

The runner-up result did not come without challenges, as Zearfoss was forced to cross under multiple sliders given by David Gravel, as well as fend off ten-time World of Outlaws champion, Donny Schatz.

Before earning his podium result, Zearfoss, pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., Meckley’s Limestone Products, Berkebile Oil Company, Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, X-1 Race Cars, No. 3Z sprint car, opened World Finals competition with a 13th-place score on Friday, advancing 12 positions after utilizing a World of Outlaws provisional to start 25th.

Despite being a former winner with the Greatest Show On Dirt, the World Finals podium outcome was Zearfoss’ top result as a Series full-timer.

“Better late than never,” Zearfoss said with a grin, who finished ninth in the World of Outlaws driver standings padded by 23 top-ten finishes. “We had the opportunity to win several races, but so many things kept us behind that little bit. The people behind me have brought me up when I’m down. I keep saying it, but we really have been getting better since Knoxville. We were battling for the win and I got too antsy I think. Just having the opportunity to win is special for us.”

With his 2021 campaign complete, Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will begin the tedious task of preparing for 2022, as the Jonestown, Pennsylvania-based open wheelers plan to take on the World of Outlaws once again next season, working to translate his rookie woes into sophomore success. In addition, Zearfoss hopes to make his return to Australia during the North American off-season, aiming to repeat as the Western Australia Speedweek champion.

Although not official, Zearfoss may make an appearance at BAPS Motor Speedway on Saturday, November 13; the annual Sprint Showdown will award a $5,000 top prize.

Danny Dietrich to cap 2021 season with Sprint Showdown at BAPS Motor Speedway

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (November 8, 2021) – It has been a long and competitive road for Gettysburg, Pennsylvania’s Danny Dietrich, and although his 2021 campaign is all but complete, recently concluding all World of Outlaws competition with the annual World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, “Double-D” still has some unfinished business, as BAPS Motor Speedway is set to host their annual Sprint Showdown on Saturday afternoon, November 13.

Certainly no stranger to the York Haven oval, Dietrich, driver of Gary Kauffman’s Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Bowhunters Superstore, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made, Graver’s Garage, Racer’s New & Used Parts Warehouse, No. 48 sprint car, is a two-time BAPS winner this season, one of which accomplished during All Star Circuit of Champions competition on August 29.

The BAPS Motor Speedway Sprint Showdown will award a $5,000 top prize.

“It’s been a long year, for sure, but we want to cap it all with a win a BAPS…that’s our goal,” Danny Dietrich explained, a six-time feature winner thus far in 2021, two of which with the All Star Circuit of Champions including the aforementioned BAPS triumph. “Hats off to my team. They’ve been busting their butts all season and I can’t thank them enough for their hard work. We’ve been all over the map this year and that’s not easy. Without their help, the wins wouldn’t be possible.”

As mentioned, Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing joined the World of Outlaws for their season-ending World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte on Thursday through Saturday, November 4-6. A frustrating weekend for the team, Dietrich highlighted his visit to the Tar Heel State with a 14th-place finish in Saturday’s Last Chance Showdown.

“We’ll put that weekend behind us and move forward,” Dietrich explained. “You have to take the bad with the good…can’t let those results get to you or you’ll never make any progress.”

Big Game Motorsports and Gravel Earn World Finals Win

Inside Line Promotions - CONCORD, N.C. (Nov. 8, 2021) - David Gravel wrapped up the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series season on a positive note last weekend during the NGK NTK World of Outlaws World Finals.

The Big Game Motorsports driver captured the opener on Friday before finishing fourth in the season finale on Saturday at The Dirt Track at Charlotte. The stout weekend secured a career-best runner-up result in the championship standings for Gravel.

"We had to run decent to hang onto second in points and we ran more than decent," he said. "We qualified really good both nights and got in the dash both nights. It was great to win on Friday and to be in contention to win on Saturday. If a couple things went our way we could have won on Saturday as well. I'm pleased to end the year on a good note."

Weather condensed the three-day event into two shows in two days beginning on Friday. Gravel set quick time during qualifying for the 19th time this season, which was the most any driver recorded during World of Outlaws competition in 2021.

"Track conditions were a little bit funky and I didn't really feel good in hot laps," he said. "We changed the car around a little bit and made it a lot better in qualifying. Going out late in our group was a benefit for us. Then in the heat race I didn't get the jump on the start and ran second. We had a good dash draw finally and that set us up to try to win the race."

Gravel placed second in a heat race before he won the dash to garner the pole position for the A Main.

"Logan (Schuchart) had a really good car," he said. "I felt we were competitive with him. He had a situation and then we were able to fend off (Brian) Brown's slide jobs and hang on to win in traffic. The track was getting one lane and taking rubber off the cushion. It made it difficult to go anywhere other than to follow lapped cars, but it worked out."

The victory was his 14th of the season and 11th during World of Outlaws action.

"It's a good feeling," Gravel said. "You go into the offseason not questioning what are we going to change for next year to be way better. You end strong and on a positive note. It's good for the morale going into the offseason. You can't ask for anymore."

The team was stout on Saturday during the final race of the season. Gravel timed in second quickest in his group, won a heat race, advanced from fourth to second in the dash and ended the night with a fourth-place result in the feature.

"We qualified good and heat raced well," he said. "We got a solid dash draw and was able to gain a row by running second. In the feature we settled into second place. I knew the track had a high threat of taking rubber. I was trying to bide my time and take care of my stuff. I was able to slide Logan for the lead and he slid me back. I tried a different lane to not follow him into the corner and that cost us a spot. We battled and were right there. If a couple of things went our way we had a chance to win."

HANDIN' OUT HARDWARE: Awards Celebration Concludes 2021 Season for World of Outlaws Sprint Cars Point Fund Money Distributed, Awards Announced in Sunday's Celebration

CONCORD, NC - November 8, 2021 - Almost exactly nine months after the 2021 season started at Volusia's DIRTcar Nationals, it ended at Charlotte's World Finals.

It was a long and grueling, but rewarding road filled with 80 races and drives from coast to coast for the full-time World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series teams and drivers.

On Sunday, the campaign officially concluded with a championship celebration to honor this year's award winners and the 12 full-time drivers that committed to the entire length of the schedule.

Here's who walked away with what:

The NOS Energy Drink Human Horsepower Award was presented by NOS Energy Drink Marketing Director, Lauren Albano. This year's recipient of the Award was Australia's James McFadden, for his and his family's sacrifice in journeying to the USA from Australia to compete full-time with the Series.

The Ted Johnson Award, named after the founder of the World of Outlaws, is reserved solely for someone who has dedicated their entire life to the sport of Sprint Car Racing. Claiming the honor yesterday was Steve Beitler, who just put the finishing touches on a stellar career as the promoter at Washington's Skagit Speedway.

The KSE Hard Charger of the Year Award also went home with James McFadden, who offered eight hard-charging occasions throughout the 2021 season.

The Engine Builder of the Year and Chassis Builder of the Year both went to the manufacturers behind Brad Sweet's third consecutive championship. Don Musselman of Maxim Chassis and Rob Capetta of Capetta Engines were at the event to accept the awards on behalf of their organizations.

The Slick Woody's Qualifier of the Year Award was an easy one in 2021. David Gravel, with a whopping 19 QuickTimes, was far and away the best qualifier on tour aboard the Big Game Motorsports #2. The next closest to DG was Haudenschild, Schuchart & Sweet all at seven QuickTimes.

The Team Drydene Blood, Sweat & Gears Award goes to the individual who most improved their average finish from last year. It was an obvious answer with Carson Macedo claiming honors thanks to an incredible upgrade from 8.72 to 6.28 amid his move to the Jason Johnson Racing #41.

The VP Racing Fuels Makin' Power Award offered a much-appreciated allotment of 10 fuel drums to champion Brad Sweet, five fuel drums to top rookie James McFadden, and another five fuel drums to most improved Carson Macedo.

The Jason Johnson Sportsmanship Award is one of the more personal awards available and voted on solely by the drivers, crews, and staff that spend the entire season going up and down the road together. This year, the consensus was clear, and Cody Jacobs was voted the winner.

The Crew Chief of the Year Award also went home with Cody Jacobs for an impressive first full-time season with the World of Outlaws. As the leader at Big Game Motorsports, he helped guide Gravel to 11 wins and a championship runner-up effort. On stage, he said, "we'll reload and see if we can give 'The Big Kitty' a run for his money next year."

The Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award gave James McFadden his third piece of hardware to take home. The Australian was magnificent in his first full season on this side of the pond, becoming only the sixth driver in Series history to win multiple races during a ROTY run.

In the rundown of the standings, they finished as follows.

12th - Jason Sides of Bartlett, TN fought on-track and off-track gremlins as he powered through to finish another full-time season with the Series. After overcoming a trailer wreck that sidelined him for more than a month, "Double Down" returned to earn his first top-five finish in more than four years and all together claimed four top-10 finishes.

11th - Wayne Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK enjoyed a sophomore surge with the Series, earning 10 top-10 finishes and challenging for several wins. He made a career-high four DIRTVision Fast Pass Dashes and led laps at Huset's and Lernerville as the Two-C Racing crew was visibly better from 2020 to 2021.

*** Kasey Kahne represented Roth Motorsports as they earned a 10th-place finish in the owners championship with Kahne, Aaron Reutzel, and Parker Price-Miller splitting time behind the wheel of the #83.

10th - Jacob Allen of Hanover, PA completed his eighth full-time season with The Greatest Show on Dirt. Although he didn't get that second-career win, the son of Bobby Allen was more consistent than ever with a career-high 20 top-10 finishes to his credit. The lovable fan favorite says he appreciates the tour and his family on the road more than ever.

9th - Brock Zearfoss of Jonestown, PA never gave up through all of the trials and tribulations in his rookie season. The Jonestown Jet missed several weeks midway through the year with a concussion, but eventually returned to the seat stronger than ever. He qualified for his second Knoxville Nationals A-Main and saved his best for last, driving the #3Z to a second-place run in the season finale on Saturday night. Brock & "Noisey" are ready to come back and find that sophomore surge that so many before have enjoyed.

8th - Kraig Kinser of Bloomington, IN finished inside the top-10 in the World of Outlaws championship standings for the 11th time in his career this year. The #11K was a top-five finisher on four occasions and challenged for several wins, most notably at I-55 alongside Brad Sweet. After an off-season full of reloading, the 2005 Knoxville Nationals champion hopes to return to Outlaw victory lane in 2022.

7th - James McFadden of Alice Springs, NT, AUS wrapped up his inaugural full-time season on American soil in seventh-place after missing the first six races. He brought the Kasey Kahne Racing #9 back to platinum status and delivered a pair of victories at Kokomo (IN) and Skagit (WA).

6th - Sheldon Haudenschild of Wooster, OH finished his fifth full-time season in the sixth position. The Stenhouse Jr. Marshall Racing, NOS Energy Drink #17 visited victory lane on eight occasions, including wins at Knoxville, Eldora, and Williams Grove. If everything went right, you could very reasonably say the son of "The Wild Child" had 15+ wins in his bag.

5th - Logan Schuchart of Hanover, PA recorded his third consecutive top-five championship result with the World of Outlaws. Although it was a drop from his runner-up effort in 2020, the Shark Racing star is adamant that his Drydene Performance Products #1S was even better in 2021. The team was hounded by bad luck, evident by their dominance yet lack of success at the World Finals. They still offered several incredible runs such as their $50,000 Jackson Nationals title and $20,000 Texas Outlaw Nationals score.

4th - Donny Schatz of Fargo, ND finished off the championship podium for the first time since 2005. Don't be fooled by his three-win season, though. He collected the most top-five finishes (47) and actually had the most points of any driver through the second half of the season. With early-season mistakes gone, the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing #15 driver is more motivated than ever to return to the mountaintop for the 11th time in 2022.

3rd - Carson Macedo of Lemoore, CA made the change to the Jason Johnson Racing #41 and it instantly paid off. The 25-year-old immediately became one of the hottest young stars on tour, finishing a career-best third in the championship chase. With mastermind Phil Dietz on the wrenches, the third-year Outlaw racked up 11 wins including W's at iconic venues like Knoxville, Eldora, and Williams Grove, to go along with his $75,000 National Open title.

2nd - David Gravel of Watertown, CT earned a career-best runner-up effort in the championship standings after placing third on four occasions. It was his first year with Tod Quiring's Big Game Motorsports operation and they came out of the gates swinging with 11 wins including a historic sweep at Bristol Motor Speedway. It's a sign of things to come as the 29-year-old hopes this is the fit needed to achieve his destiny of winning the Outlaws championship one day.

1st - Brad Sweet of Grass Valley, CA collected his third consecutive championship, something only Steve Kinser and Donny Schatz had done before him. The Big Cat scored 16 victories aboard the Kasey Kahne Racing, NAPA Auto Parts #49. The 35-year-old noted the team chemistry between himself and crew members Eric Prutzman, Joe Mooney & Andrew Bowman is a large part of their success and something they look to keep together for years to come.
