The fast and furious 410 sprint cars will make their first start of the season at Selinsgrove Speedway Sunday, March 27, at 2 p.m. in a 25-lap main event paying $5,000 to win!
The total purse for the first of 11 winged 410 sprint car races this season at the Superspeedway of Dirt Tracking will offer nearly $20,000 in prize money. Second-place will earn $2,000 with $400 posted just to start the main event. The USAC National Sprint Car Series event in June will make an even dozen 410 sprint car races slated at the track in 2022.
Lelands.com, the world’s premier online sports memorabilia auction house based in Matawan, N.J., is returning as the title sponsor of Selinsgrove’s 410 sprint car series. The points champion will earn a cool $5,000 bonus at the end of the season with the top five points finishers picking up bonus money.
Danny Dietrich of Gettysburg, a one-time winner at the track last season, is the defending Lelands.com 410 sprint car series champion. Other 410 sprint car winners at the track last year were Anthony Macri of Dillsburg, Brent Marks of Myerstown, and Chase Dietz of Hanover.
The MAPCO Machine Shop limited late models will also make their first start of the season in a 20-lap feature paying $1,200 to win. Rounding out the rare Sunday afternoon three-division racing card will be the A&A Auto Stores roadrunners in a 12-lap main event.
Devin Hart of Mifflintown and Jake Jones of Hunlock Creek are the defending limited late model and roadrunner track champions, respectively.
All three divisions will draw for starting positions in heat races followed by a redraw based on each division’s car counts for the main events.
Pit gates on March 27 will open at 11:30 a.m. with grandstand gates slated for 12 p.m. Engine starts are scheduled for 1:15 p.m.
