Kaleb Johnson Competing in 410 and 360 Divisions Saturday During Knoxville Raceway Season Opener

Inside Line Promotions - SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (April 11, 2022) - Kaleb Johnson is planning on doing double duty this Saturday during the Knoxville Raceway season opener.

It will mark the 410ci winged sprint car debut at the track for Johnson, who will race weekly in the 360ci winged sprint car division at the dirt oval in Knoxville, Iowa.

"I've done double duty with a 360 and a 305, but not in a 410 and a 360 and not at Knoxville," he said. "I don't have high expectations for our 410 deal. The main reason I want to do that is for laps. And I think it will slow everything down in the 360. I'm hoping we have a good run in our 360. We have to qualify good and that sets up the rest of your night."

Johnson finished sixth in the 360 championship standings last season at Knoxville Raceway.

"I feel pretty confident," he said. "Last year we had some pretty good runs; just some bad luck and driver errors cost us. With a year and a half of racing experience there we have a good baseline. I feel like if you can qualify good, which we've been doing better at, it sets up the night for a decent finish."

Johnson noted this will be one of only a couple of nights of double duty this season.

"I plan to do it the first couple of weeks at Knoxville Raceway because that's our only race," he said. "Once we get into the heart of the season we'll hardly do it at all."
