TUSCARORA 50 CHARGER: CJB & Marks Race All Stars at Port Royal Events in Pennsylvania keep team busy as they fall beckons

CARLISLE, PA. - September 16, 2020 - Brent Marks and the CJB team took to Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway this past weekend for the annual Tuscarora 50 . With building momentum in recent weeks, hopes were high for an impressive showing.

Marks and the team kicked off their racing action on Thursday, September 10th by timing in 21st, finishing 5th in their heat race and 3rd in the B-main. From there, the team charged from 23rd to 9th in the feature.

The following night saw the team get off to their best start of the weekend by timing in 8th. A 3rd place finish in the heat race sent the #5 machine to the dash, where it finished third. In the feature, the team finished 8th for another top-10.

Saturday was the big money night as 51 machines vied for the $53,000 top prize. Marks and the CJB crew timed in 21st, finished 7th in their hear race and came through the B-main to finish 11th in the A-main.

"This weekend at Port (Royal) was a little rough for us," said Marks, pilot of the #5 M&M Painting and Construction, BAPS Paints, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, Alkaline 88 Water, R.E. Pierson Construction Co., Wolfrun Landscapes, Nyce, Crete & Landis Block and Concrete, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Ecynbro Trucking machine. "Unfortunately things just didn't go our way. We had some speed and had a competitive car but I wasn't able to get us up front. The whole team worked very hard. The finale was difficult. We had a couple issues early in the night. We still managed to get us a decent finish going from 25th to 11th. We'll learn and move on to the next race."

The CJB team has a busy slate of upcoming events on their schedule.

"We will be at Lincoln (Speedway) on Wednesday for the $6,900-to-win show, BAPS Motorspeedway on Thursday," said Marks. "We will also race with the Ollies Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions at Williams Grove (Speedway) on Friday and Lincoln Speedway on Saturday."
