BROWNSBURG, Ind. (May 25, 2021) – Continuing his role as the primary wheelman for the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing No. 14 sprint car, temporarily filling the seat for three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and NASCAR Hall of Famer Tony Stewart, the “Madman” Kerry Madsen once again powered the TSR hotrod to success, capping the recent All Star Circuit of Champions four-race swing through Indiana with a pair of top-ten finishes, highlighting the weekend with a fourth-place effort at Gas City I-69 Speedway on Saturday, May 22. Madsen started ninth on the feature lineup and worked his way into a top-five position by halfway; a great rebound after missing the evening’s dash due to mechanical issues.

Two nights prior, Madsen and TSR kicked-off the All Stars Indiana Invasion weekend with an eighth-place score at the all-new Circle City Raceway just outside of Indianapolis. Madsen finished third in his respective dash which allowed the former Australian Sprint Car Champion and Knoxville Raceway track champion to start sixth on the feature grid.

Perhaps his best performance of the weekend until lapped traffic ended his campaign abruptly, Madsen was on his way to a $26,000 payday during Kokomo Speedway’s Rayce Rudeen Foundation Race on Sunday, May 23, when disaster struck.

While leading with six laps remaining, Madsen made contact with a lapped car forcing the Rush Truck Centers/Advance Auto Parts/Curb Records/Ford Performance/Digital Ally/Sage Fruit/FloRacing/Absolute Automation and Security/Hunt Brothers Pizza/Mobil 1/Carquest Auto Parts/J&J Auto Racing/No. 14 sprint car to leave the speedway on a hook; he was scored 18th.

Plans for the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing No. 14 team remain uncertain. Fans should keep alert online, as well as on social media, for any updates pertaining to the team’s upcoming schedule.
