JONESTOWN, Pa. (August 9, 2021) – The “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss put together a consistent campaign during his visit to Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevey, Missouri, and finished 11th and 15th, respectively, during the two-day affair, improving a total of seven feature positions including a 21st to 15th push during the $20,000-to-win Ironman 55 finale on Saturday. Zearfoss won the evening’s Last Chance Showdown to earn a spot in the 55-lap “A.”

Zearfoss, driver of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., Meckley’s Limestone Products, Berkebile Oil Company, Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, X-1 Race Cars, No. 3Z sprint car, was third in Friday’s heat race to lock himself into the Ironman preliminary. The former Port Royal Speedway track champion started 12th on the grid before advancing one position to finish 11th.

With all results considered, Zearfoss is now ninth in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series driver standings, padded by 14 top-ten finishes in 48 feature starts.

“Not a bad weekend for our team. I think we’re capable of better, but we’ll take the consistency and run with it,” Zeafoss said. “We have a big week ahead. Our plan is to race the Front Row Challenge tonight then get ourselves prepared for Knoxville. We don’t qualify until Thursday, so we’ll watch on Wednesday and take everything in before it’s our turn the following night.”

In an attempt to gain some valuable lap time at Knoxville Raceway, Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing entered the 10th annual Capitani Classic on Sunday, August 8; Zearfoss retired after qualifying and heat race action.

Southern Iowa Speedway’s Front Row Challenge will be the highlight of Zearfoss’ agenda later this evening, Monday, August 9. The 26th edition will award a $20,000 top prize.

Zearfoss’ Knoxville Nationals campaign will begin with preliminary action on Thursday, August 12. Saturday’s Nationals A-Main will award $150,000-to-win and $10,000-to-start. In addition, $1,000 of lap money will be awarded for every lap led in the 50-lap finale bumping the total winning potential to $200,000.
