Three-Division Show and Short Track Super Series Invasion Highlight Weekend Doubleheader at Port Royal Speedway

Port Royal Speedway – PORT ROYAL, PA – (March 16, 2022) After racing activities succumbed to rain and snow showers last weekend, Port Royal Speedway returns this weekend with it's first doubleheader weekend of the 2022 racing season.

The double-dose of racing kicks off on Saturday, March 19th, with the first three-division show of the season at the Speed Palace as the Weikert's Livestock 410 Sprint Cars, the ULMS Racing Series Super Late Models and the Selinsgrove Ford Limited Late Models take to the track.

This will be the 410 Sprint Car's second points-paying event of the season and as a result of his Opening Day triumph, Lance Dewease enters the weekend as the series points leader. Mike Wagner, Justin Peck, Danny Dietrich and Logan Wagner round out the top five.

This will be the first of four ULMS sanctioned Super Late Model events for the 2022 racing season and it will pay an increased $3500-to-win for the winner. Ten overall ULMS sanctioned events have been held in the history of the Speedway, with Gregg Satterlee capturing the last four consecutive. Jason Covert owns a pair of victories with the series and Tyler Bare, Michael Norris, Mason Zeigler and Max Blair all own single triumphs.

Colton Flinner enters the weekend as the Krill Recycling, LLC Super Late Model points leader at the Speedway as a result of his Opening Day win with Kyle Hardy, Gary Stuhler, Trever Feathers and Kyle Lee rounding out the top five.

This will be the first of 12 events during the 2022 racing season for the Selinsgrove Ford Limited Late Models and Devin Hart enters the season as the defending track champion at the Speedway. Shawn Shoemaker, Andrew Yoder, Todd Snook and Kenny Yoder rounded out last season's top five.

The series will be competing for $1200 to win on Saturday evening. New for the 2022 racing season for the divisions will be the inclusion of a weekly $100 Hard Charger Award courtesy of Dedicated Nursing Associates, Inc..

Sunday, March 20th, will be the first visit of the season for the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series and the ULMS Super Late Models will also be on the card vying for $3500 to win for the second consecutive night.

This will be the eighth visit for the Short Track Super Series to the Port Royal Speedway and the third ever Spring Version of the Short Track 40. Mat Williamson is the the only two-time winner with the series at the Juniata County oval with Stewart Friesen, Anthony Perrego, Matt Sheppard, Mike Mahaney and Ryan Watt all owning singular victories. The series will compete for $5000 to win and $500 to start in what will be the first of four visits this season for the series at the track.

As a result of rain and snow from last weekend and with expected mid-week showers hitting the area, camping will again not be permitted in the field area of the Speedway.
