Bogucki Records Season-Best World of Outlaws Result at I-80 Speedway

Inside Line Promotions - GREENWOOD, Neb. (Sept. 1, 2020) - Scott Bogucki posted his best World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series result of the season last Sunday at I-80 Speedway.

The sponsored driver, who is a full-time Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour competitor, made the most of a pair of nights with 'The Greatest Show on Dirt' last weekend. Bogucki placed 22nd on Saturday at U.S. 36 Raceway in Osborn, Mo., before the season-best run of 18th on Sunday.

"We qualified pretty well both nights and were good in the heat race both nights," he said.

Bogucki qualified 11th quickest and he finished fifth in a heat race on Saturday at U.S. 36 Raceway. That locked him into the main event.

"I know I've got the motor to qualify well," he said. "We don't qualify with what we're doing so I don't have much experience, but we don't seem to be horrible at it. That's good because qualifying sets up your whole night with the World of Outlaws.

"In the feature we didn't have the car great and I made some mistakes, but it was a good night."

Sunday played out in similar fashion for Bogucki, who qualified 13 th quickest and advanced a position in a heat race to finish third. He capped the night with an 18th-place showing in the A Main.

"I like to race the 410s when I can," he said. "It always takes me time to get used to the left rear tire. I have to do some different stuff with the setup than I'd normally do. I was pleased with the weekend."

Bogucki will get another opportunity to learn this weekend when he joins the World of Outlaws at Huset's Speedway in Brandon, S.D., on Saturday and Sunday. It will be his debut at the track.

"I'm looking forward to it," he said. "It's a quite famous track. I'm always excited to race my 410 and with the Outlaws. The more you race and the better competition you race with the better it will make you."
